十年来，在共商共建共享理念指引下，“一带一路”取得了丰硕成果，已成为全球规模最大、范围最广的国际合作平台和构建人类命运共同体的最重要实践平台。
Over the past 10 years, under the guidance of the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has achieved fruitful results. It has become the largest and most extensive international cooperation platform in the world and it is now the most important platform for building a global community of shared future.
共商共建共享理念源于中国式现代化成功的伟大实践，也源于中华文明源远流长的历史底蕴。我不妨把这个理念所包含的三个方面简单地说明一下。
The principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits stem from the successful experience of Chinses-style modernization. It also has roots in the wisdom passed down from ancient China. Here, I'm going to briefly explain the three aspects of the principles.
首先是共商，它源于中国式现代化进程中广泛采用的协商民主。比如说在国家（层面），我们国家以协商民主的方式成功制定了一个又一个五年规划，带来了中国的全面飞起。从中华文明传承来看，共商延续了中国古人崇尚兼听则明、偏听则暗，集思广益等理念和实践。
First, extensive consultation. The idea comes from the consultative democracy that has been widely adopted in the process of Chinese-style modernization. For example, at the national level, our country has successfully formulated many five-year plans by means of consultative democracy, which brought about our country's success in many areas. From the prospective of wisdom passed down from ancient China, extensive consultation reflected how ancient Chinese people believed that those who listened to everyone would get bright ideas and those who only listened to a few would be lost in the dark.
第二，共建。共建源于中国现代化建设过程中的齐心协力、实干兴邦等理念和实践。从中华文明传承来看，与面对世界末日，得到诺亚方舟的西方神话不一样，中国式大禹治水的传统，领袖身先示范，带领民众与洪水抗争直至胜利。
Second, joint contribution. This aspect stems from the concepts and practice of working together and putting in concrete efforts to ameliorate the nation in the process of Chinese-style modernization. From the prospective of wisdom passed down from ancient China, we had a different story of ancient people's reaction in the face of disaster. Unlike the Western myth, in which Noah got an ark from God to avoid being drown in the flood, in China, we had the legend of Yu the Great, who led his people in trying and then succeeding in flood control.
第三点，共享。很大程度上共享源于中国现代化进程中的同甘共苦、共同富裕等理念和实践，还符合新中国对外合作所一直遵循的平等互利、合作共赢原则。从中华文明传承来看，（中略）中国历代先贤普遍崇尚天下为公的精神，都体现了中国生生不息的共享文化。
Thirdly, shared benefits. To a large extent, the idea stems from the experience of the Chines people who went through difficulties together and enjoyed common prosperity in China's modernization process. It is also in line with the principles of equality and mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation China adopted for international collaboration. From the prospective of wisdom passed down from ancient China, Chinese people throughout the ages have generally believed that the world was a shared place and we should all try to make it better. The principle of shared benefits demonstrates the propensity for sharing in Chinese culture.
总之，共商共建共享理念融中国的现代实践与文明传承为一体，现在通过“一带一路”上百个国家的广泛实践，向全世界展示一种源于伟大文明的理念，及其所特有的深度、广度、高度和温度。
In conclusion, the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits integrated China's modern practice and ancient wisdom, and they are now being adopted by hundreds of countries in the BRI. Originated from a great civilization, the principles showed the world their depth, breadth, height and temperature.
所谓深度，是指深厚的历史底蕴带来的巨大认知。所谓广度，是指它可以适应千差万别的各种国情。所谓高度，指的是它可以协同各方一起干事情，实现大家共同的理想。
The depth of the principles refers to the wisdom brought about by their historical heritage. By breadth, I mean that they can be adapted to a wide variety of situations in different countries. Their height refers to the fact that it can bring different parties together and realize their common dream.
英文中有个概念叫做对一些国家transformative，是翻天覆地的变化，或者叫game-changing，改变整个游戏规则，可以实现梦想的高度，很高的理想都可以实现。所以温度就是英文中讲的human touch，也就是我们讲的人情味、人文关怀、人民为中心等等。现在这一理念受到世界上越来越多的国家和人民的欢迎，它是一种全新的全球治理观，它源于中国，属于世界。谢谢大家。
People often called BRI transformative, or game-changing. The BRI changed the rules of how the world is run, thus enabling some people to reach a new height. And by temperature, I mean its warmth. Like the saying "human touch" in English. That's what we mean when we say people-oriented. More and more countries and people in the world show appreciation for these principles. They are a brand new way of global governance, which was proposed by China but belonged to the whole world. Thank you for your attention.
