Dr.Naim Yaseen is the Director of Information in the Republic of Kenya. His responsibilities include national information policy advisory and the management of the Department of Information. The Department of Information is made up of Kenya News Agency, Central Media Services, Regional Publications Unit and the Audio-Visual Production Unit. Previously, Dr Bilal served as the Director of Public Affairs in the Kenyan Judiciary. He has 28 years experience  in media and communications, 19 of them spent in the private sector where he worked as Managing Editor with the Nation Media Group, the largest print, electronic and digital media house in East and Central Africa.

Dr Naim Yaseen holds a PhD in Communication Studies from Moi University; Masters degree in Communications Policy from City University London; MBA from the University of LLeida, Spain, Bachelors degree in Police Science from the University of South Africa and a range of professional certificates, among them a Certificate in Strategic Leadership from the Kenya School of Government.
