Marie-Claire Nnana

The Cameroon News and Publishing Corporation (SOPECAM)

Marie-Claire NNANA is now general magager of the Cameroon News and Publishing Corporation(SOPECAM), and has been serving in the corporation for  32 years .

After her university studies in Cameroon and professional training in France, she returned to Cameroon and was recruited as SOPECAM staff to work for Cameroon Tribune. From humble beginnings as reporter in 1987 where she covered society, culture and other national and internal events for the newspaper, she got promoted to Sub-Desk Editor for Culture, then Desk Editor for Society and Culture before being appointed as Managing Editor. After three years in the function she was raised to the rank of General Manager of the company in 2002. A post she have occupied till date. 

Apart from the daily management of the major sections of the corporation, she keeps mobilizing her collaborators to produce more. Under her leadership, SOPECAM has embarked on a modernization project acquiring state-of-the-arts rotary machine, book publishing machines and increased its number of publications from one, Cameroon Tribune, to four newspapers in the market today.
