Ambassador Hisham ELZIMAITY, is Board Member, and Secretary General of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, (ECFA) since November 2015. He is Member of the Board of Directors of the Grand Egyptian Museum, (GEM); and Member of the Board of Trustees of the French University in Egypt, (UFE); as well as Member of Japan-Egypt Business Council, (JEBC).

He is a former Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations & Multilateral Diplomacy; and for American Affairs.

He was Ambassador of Egypt to Japan, Hungary, Slovenia and Pakistan; a Delegate of Egypt to the United Nations in Geneva and New York; and former Diplomat to Sénégal, The Gambia & Cape Verde; to Belgium, Luxembourg & the European Union; and to France.

He is also former Director-Dean of the Institute for Diplomatic Studies, (IDS); and Director of the Cairo Centre for Training on Conflict Resolution & Peacekeeping in Africa, (CCCRP)

Ambassador ElZimaity, born in Cairo on 13th March 1955, graduated in 1977 from the Faculty of Economics & Political Science, Cairo University. He speaks Arabic, French & English.
