E. China's Jiangxi sees increasing foreign trade in first two months

BEIJING, March 15(Xinhua) -- Total goods imports and exports of east China's Jiangxi Province in the first two months of this year expanded 55.9 percent year on year to 70.59 billion yuan, official data from local customs showed.


Exports grew 83.2 percent year on year to 52.32 billion yuan while imports rose 9.2 percent year on year to 18.27 billion yuan, according to the statistics.


Thanks to continuous recovery of external demand and the rebound in production and consumption in major economies such as Europe and the United States, Jiangxi's exports shows significant increase.


The ASEAN, the United States, and the European Union are Jiangxi's major trade partners during the period. Trade volume with countries along the Belt and Road routes were 19.51 billion yuan, an increase of 61.9 percent, accounting for 27.6 percent of the province's total foreign trade value.


In terms of trade commodities, exports of automatic data processing equipment and solar cells have grown substantially, while exports of wireless earphones and mobile phones have fallen.
