SHANGHAI, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory exported more than 40,000 vehicles in January this year, ensuring its status as one of the U.S. electric carmaker's main export hubs, the company said on Monday.
In January, 59,845 vehicles were delivered from the Shanghai Gigafactory. That figure was 484,130 last year, an increase of 235 percent from 2020 and accounting for 51.7 percent of Tesla's global production capacity.
Last year, Tesla's Shanghai factory delivered more than 160,000 vehicles to overseas markets, meeting the needs of over 10 countries and regions in Europe and Asia.
